Welcome to the Grip Collective.
We are so glad you are here, Alhamdulillah.
Our goal with Grip is to create safe spaces where our Muslim Youth are completely free to ask the tough questions that they feel they cannot voice and seek the knowledge that they want. Being brought up in Canada can put us in a state of limbo. We attempt to balance between Islam and the society we live in, but it can be easier said than done.
From the expectations of our parents to those of the outside world, and those of Allah SWT, it can all be overwhelming and leave us in a state where we feel it can only be one of the other. It doesn’t help that we live in a very different time than our parents. A time of temptations, living fast, economic uncertainty, and a world on fire most days. Subhan’Allah, what is a young person to do with the pressure of religion, culture, and our desires? Grip is the answer to these questions. We want to give you something that we did not have. An open and welcoming space where you can make likeminded friends and are free to discuss your inner thoughts and dreams without fear of judgement. We are here to listen, offer support, and ask come hard questions of our own. We aim to make you think deeply about Islam, your choices, your path in life, and your future.
At Grip nothing is off the table. Let’s talk. Let’s debate. Let’s see what Allah SWT calls us to and what He wants from us. In this space, we will come face to face with the Qur’an and the Sunnah of our Beloved SAW in a way that will make sense and give you the perspective you are seeking.
You are not the leaders of tomorrow, you are the leaders of today. We want you to be unapologetically Muslim and be proud of your identity. We promise you will love the Grip experience. We want to learn and grow with you.
Easy lessons, relevant conversations, and a welcoming environment.
This is Grip.
Come join us.
